40 Acre Conservation League

40 Acre Conservation League is California's first Black-led land conservancy, working to build deeper, more diverse connections to nature and increase access to the outdoors and outdoor economy for people of color. Founded in Sacramento in 2021, it has acquired hundreds of acres near Sacramento and Emigrant Gap and aims to conserve more than 25,000 acres of land by 2030.
