A Piece of Kansas Ltd (doing business as A Piece of Kansas Soil) is a Vermont-registered nonprofit, based in Bristol, VT, that restores native tallgrass prairie land in Kansas. Founded by Jim Cossaart, a sixth-generation Kansas farmer, the group focuses on native grass seeding, invasive species control, and sustainable grazing management, with the goal of educating and inspiring other landowners to restore prairie.
