Altar Valley Conservation Alliance

Founded in 1995 and based southwest of Tucson, Arizona, the Altar Valley Conservation Alliance is a watershed-based collaborative conservation organization that brings ranchers, environmentalists, and land management agencies together in what it calls the "Radical Center" to find common ground on rangeland stewardship. Its science-based, community-driven projects include grassland restoration, wildlife-friendly fencing and connectivity, surface water enhancement, and soil health work, aimed at sustaining a resilient rural community and its agricultural economy.
