American Forests

American Forests is a Washington, DC-based nonprofit that restores forests in both cities and large natural landscapes. Its Urban & Community Forestry program addresses tree inequity in under-treed, low-income neighborhoods, while its Resilient Forests program restores natural landscapes to help them adapt to climate change, store carbon, and support wildlife habitat. It runs roughly 150 active projects and also engages in forest policy advocacy.
