Atchafalaya Basinkeeper

Atchafalaya Basinkeeper is a Louisiana conservation organization and a member of the Waterkeeper Alliance, dedicated to protecting and restoring the swamps, lakes, rivers, and bayous of the Atchafalaya Basin, North America's largest wetland forest. Based in Plaquemine, Louisiana and led by founder and executive director Dean Wilson, it works through environmental monitoring, advocacy, litigation, and public education to address threats such as sedimentation, logging, and damaging river diversion projects.
