Balsam Mountain Trust is a nonprofit based in Sylva, North Carolina dedicated to conserving the Southern Blue Ridge Mountains through education and responsible stewardship. It operates a nature center and animal rehabilitation program with ambassador animals, runs school and community education programs (including an Adopt-a-School program and naturalist clubs), and manages a 3,200-acre conservation easement in partnership with the North American Land Trust, alongside habitat research such as brook trout and hemlock health studies.
