Barrier Islands Preservation & Protection Assoc Inc

The Barrier Islands Preservation and Protection Association (BIPPA) is a Melbourne Beach, Florida nonprofit that has worked for over 30 years to balance population growth with wildlife and habitat protection on the barrier islands of the unincorporated South Beaches area. It focuses on protecting nesting Loggerhead Sea Turtles, West Indian Manatees, dolphins, and gopher tortoises through education, advocacy, and collaboration, and has pushed back on high-density coastal development and illegal short-term rentals.
