Blue Mountain Forest Stewardship Initiative

Blue Mountain Forest Stewardship Initiative (BMFSI) is a Colorado 501(c)(3) founded in 2013 by residents of a 600-acre, ~130-home subdivision in the foothills between Golden and Boulder to implement their Community Wildfire Protection Plan. It runs free Home Ignition Zone assessments, slash removal events, a tree-health monitoring program, and Firewise USA certification for the community.
