Calusa Land Trust and Nature Preserve of Pine Island protects the natural diversity and beauty of the Pine Island, Florida region by acquiring, managing, and preserving environmentally sensitive lands while fostering public environmental understanding. It has conserved 77 parcels of land, permanently protected 2,000 acres of mangroves, and preserved or restored 2,412 acres of native habitat, and it hosts stewardship work parties, guided paddle trips, and community fundraising events.
