The Catawba-Wateree Relicensing Coalition is a coalition based in the Catawba-Wateree River Basin of North and South Carolina, formed around the federal relicensing process for 13 large hydroelectric dams operated by Duke Energy on the Catawba-Wateree river system. It represents a broad set of stakeholders who negotiated the Comprehensive Relicensing Agreement, a set of recommendations to FERC covering the license's environmental and recreational requirements, and it continues to meet on ongoing issues such as shoreline management, invasive species, recreation, and drought response.
