Central Jersey Stream Team is a grassroots nonprofit founded in 2012 by Joseph David and Steven Van Deursen to restore New Jersey's waterways, focusing on the Raritan River and surrounding floodplains and parks. Through dozens of volunteer cleanup events with water- and land-based teams, it has pulled more than 5,800 tires and tons of other debris out of local rivers, in partnership with groups like the Raritan Headwaters Association.
