Chiputneticook Lakes International Conservancy

The Chiputneticook Lakes International Conservancy (CLIC) is a volunteer-based nonprofit founded in 1992, based in Orient, Maine, that works to protect the Chiputneticook Lakes region spanning the Maine-New Brunswick border, including North, East Grand, Mud, Spednic, Palfrey, Deering, and Brackett lakes. Its activities include water quality and fisheries monitoring, invasive species prevention, a school salmon-raising program, and community events like an annual smelt fry and lakeside picnics.
