Collins Pond Improvement Association, incorporated in 1959, owns and maintains the dam on Collins Pond, a 42-acre lake in Windham, Maine, and maintains the private roads around it. Since 2007 it has run a diver-assisted suction harvesting (DASH) boat to combat an infestation of hybrid variable-leaf milfoil, removing over 155,000 gallons of the invasive plant to protect the pond's water quality.
