COHVCO has worked since 1987 to protect motorized access to public lands for off-highway vehicle (OHV) recreationists in Colorado. It employs lobbyists at the State Capitol, administers the OHV Registration Grant Program (which has raised over $100 million for trail maintenance and construction), founded the Responsible Recreation Foundation for education, and engages in legal challenges and land-management appeals to oppose trail closures and restrictive legislation.
