Concho River Conservancy

Concho River Conservancy is a conservation organization dedicated to preserving and protecting the Concho River in San Angelo, Texas, guided by the motto "It's not ours, it's just our turn." It works on water quality monitoring (including a Clean Rivers Program), water quantity/demand issues, site improvements, landowner engagement, and recreation initiatives along the river. The group formed to fill a conservation-advocacy gap, addressing threats such as sewage spills, treated wastewater reuse, over-pumping, and potential oilfield wastewater disposal.
