Congo Nature Preserve

Congo Nature Preserve protects and restores land along the canyon in Congo, Alabama (near Little River Canyon), a historic late-1800s community. Its work includes volunteer cleanups to address water quality issues, removing graffiti from natural areas, and converting former ATV trails into a public Nature Walk and Bird Sanctuary. The preserve, including Congo Falls Park and Tranquil Creek, is open to the public by permit for hiking, kayaking, and picnicking.
