Connecticut Farmland Trust

Connecticut Farmland Trust is the state's only private conservation organization dedicated solely to protecting agricultural land, working to keep working farms available to Connecticut farmers indefinitely. It preserves land primarily by purchasing or accepting donations of agricultural conservation easements (and occasionally purchasing threatened farms outright), and partners with towns and local land trusts statewide to identify farms at risk and support local preservation efforts. Land it protects becomes a permanent "forever farm" restricted to agricultural use.
