Conservation Action Project

A Bowling Green, Ohio nonprofit (operating since 1988) working to improve soil and water quality in Ohio agriculture, focused on reducing nutrient runoff into the Maumee River and Lake Erie across Defiance, Fulton, Henry, Lucas, Paulding, Williams, and Wood counties. Its programs include promoting cover crops and conservation tillage, a nutrient-management (4R) certification effort with The Nature Conservancy, and its CAP Backer Program funding local farmer conservation projects.
