Conservation Easement Preservation Society

The Conservation Easement Preservation Society (CEPS) is a Colorado 501(c)(3) nonprofit that fiscally sponsors KARES (Keep Airport Road Environmental and Safe), a Longmont citizens' coalition fighting to stop development on the Kanemoto Conservation Easement along Airport Road. CEPS funds the volunteer-run group's legal defense and advocacy against annexation for a proposed 426-unit housing development, framing the fight as a test case for protecting other conservation easements across Colorado.
