Cosumnes Culture And Waterways

Cosumnes Culture and WaterWays (CCaWW) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, founded and led by Kimberly "ShiningStar" Petree (a descendant of the Northern Sierra Miwok), that stewards an ancestral Miwok village site and over 300 acres of land along the Cosumnes River in El Dorado County, California. It works to preserve Indigenous Miwok culture and care for the land, animals, and waterways through hands-on land stewardship (monthly "Work-n-Play Days"), traditional dances, and cultural/educational programming.
