Dictionary Hill Open Space Advocates

Dictionary Hill Open Space Advocates (DHOSA) is an all-volunteer 501(c)(3) group formed in 2005 to preserve the open space and natural habitat of Dictionary Hill and Bancroft Creek Canyon in Spring Valley, California. The group's advocacy led San Diego County to add 175 acres to its Multiple Species Conservation Plan in 2017, creating one of the county's newest open space preserves. DHOSA continues to partner with the County Parks Department on volunteer patrols and litter removal in the preserve.
