East Pond Association

East Pond Association is a volunteer nonprofit, established in 1997, dedicated to preserving water quality in East Pond, an 1,800-acre spring-fed lake spanning Oakland and Smithfield, Maine, in the Belgrade Lakes region. It runs education, fundraising, and erosion-control efforts, including an active LakeSmart program, and partners with Colby College, the University of Maine, 7 Lakes Alliance, and Maine state agencies on water quality studies and restoration projects.
