East Run Hellbenders Society Inc

East Run Hellbenders Society is a grassroots environmental group in Grant Township, Indiana County, Pennsylvania, formed to protect the safety, health, and well-being of township residents from a proposed natural gas wastewater injection well. The group authored a Community Bill of Rights asserting the rights of human and natural communities to water and a healthy environment, which helped win passage of a 2015 Home Rule Charter banning the well. It continues to defend that local self-governance against legal challenges from the drilling company.
