Ecuadorian Rivers Institute

The Ecuadorian Rivers Institute (ERI) is a US-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit, headquartered in Basalt, CO, working to protect Ecuador's river systems in the Andes and Amazon, with particular focus on the Jondachi river corridor. Founded in 2002, it pursues watershed conservation through water quality monitoring, river festivals, educational seminars, and advocacy for protected free-flowing rivers that sustain biodiversity, Indigenous communities, and river-tourism economies.
