Elkhorn Slough Foundation is a community-supported nonprofit land trust that conserves and restores Elkhorn Slough and its watershed, an estuary connecting to Monterey Bay near Moss Landing, California. It is the largest landowner in the watershed, protecting roughly 4,000 acres of wetlands, oak woodlands, and maritime chaparral through land acquisition, habitat management, and restoration work. Since 1982 it has served as the nonprofit partner of the Elkhorn Slough National Estuarine Research Reserve.
