Federation Of Vermont Lakes And Ponds

The Federation of Vermont Lakes and Ponds (FOVLAP) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, active since 1972 and statewide since 2001, dedicated to fostering environmental quality standards and preserving Vermont's lakes, ponds, watersheds, and aquatic ecosystems. It monitors water quality, develops watershed action plans for issues like phosphorus pollution and cyanobacteria, manages aquatic invasive species such as Eurasian watermilfoil and zebra mussels, and supports a network of local lake associations through education, seminars, and shoreland-protection advocacy.
