Five Island Trail Corporation

The Five Island Trail (FIT) is a 10-foot-wide, concrete, multi-use trail circling Five Island Lake in Emmetsburg, Iowa, open to walking, running, rollerblading, and biking (no motorized vehicles). Built through land easements and donor funding from local families, businesses, and foundations, the trail includes a covered bridge (built 2020) and connects the golf course, Lakeside Lutheran Home, area parks, and other neighborhoods around the lake, with roughly 7 miles of trail planned round-trip.
