Florida Outdoor Writers Association Inc

Chartered in 1946 and based in Gainesville, Florida Outdoors Writers Association is a statewide 501(c)(3) organization of professional outdoor communicators, writers, photographers, and broadcasters, who work to educate the public on the wise management of Florida's outdoor heritage through print and electronic media, workshops, panels, and forums. FOWA also awards $500-$1,000 scholarships to Florida college students pursuing careers in outdoor communications.
