33 Buckets Foundation creates sustainable access to clean water and sanitation by partnering with communities to launch self-sustaining local water franchises rather than one-off fixes. Started as an Arizona State University student project and now a 501(c)(3), it works primarily in the Cusco region of Peru with local water-management (JASS) groups, and has improved water access for more than 8,500 people.
