A Vision For Clean Water

A Vision For Clean Water (AVFCW) is a 100% volunteer-run 501(c)(3) nonprofit based in southeast Michigan that educates people on simple, low-cost technologies (such as biosand filters) for safe household drinking water. Founded by Eileen and John Heasley after a 2002 trip to Nepal, where they began supplying filters to an orphanage and eventually 25 schools in Kathmandu, the organization now runs annual multi-day training workshops to teach others how to build and sustain water and sanitation projects.
