Active Citizens For Responsible Sustainability Inc

ACRES (Active Citizens for Responsible Sustainability, Inc.) was a nonprofit, non-partisan environmental advocacy and education organization based in Bernardsville, NJ, working from 2013 to protect vanishing 'pocket woodlands' in northern New Jersey by raising awareness and encouraging sustainable development that coexists with land preservation. It also established the Franklin R. Myers scholarship in 2015 for NJ graduating high school seniors studying environmental science, conservation, or biology. The organization formally ceased operations as a 501(c)(3) effective December 31, 2020, distributing its remaining funds to other area environmental nonprofits.
