Adirondack Wilderness Adovocates Inc

Adirondack Wilderness Advocates is a grassroots nonprofit, founded in 2016 and incorporated in 2019 out of the campaign for an all-Wilderness classification of the Boreas Ponds Tract, that works to protect the wilderness quality of the Adirondack Forest Preserve in upstate New York. It advocates for keeping large tracts of public land in a motorless, roadless state, taking policy positions on motorized recreation and responding to proposals affecting the Forest Preserve, and runs public education about Adirondack wilderness, operating without a physical office or paid staff.
