Advocates For The Oak Ridge Reservation

Advocates for the Oak Ridge Reservation (AFORR) is a nonprofit founded in 1999 that works to preserve the natural resources of the Department of Energy's 20,000-plus-acre Oak Ridge Reservation Research Park in Oak Ridge, Tennessee, for the long-term benefit of DOE, the local community, and national/international interests. It engages on issues such as the hazardous waste landfill, the Pellissippi Blueway, a proposed Oak Ridge airport, and land-use planning on the Reservation, and promotes the site's value for science, conservation, public health, education, recreation, and history.
