Akindale Rehabilitation & Land Conservation Fund operates as Akindale TB Aftercare (also known as Akindale Thoroughbred Rescue) on 310 acres in Pawling, New York. Founded in 2006 by John Hettinger, it provides lifelong care -- nutrition, health care, and hoof care -- for more than 100 retired thoroughbred racehorses.
