Alamosa Riverkeeper

Alamosa Riverkeeper (operated by the Alamosa River Foundation) is a 501(c)(3) and member of the international Waterkeeper Alliance whose mission is to restore, preserve, and protect the Alamosa River Watershed in Colorado. It oversees river restoration projects funded by the Summitville Mining disaster's Natural Resource Damage settlement, including an Instream Flow Project that purchased water rights to keep the river flowing during historically dry periods. It also promotes recreational fishing on the river and trains volunteers in water quality sampling.
