Allegheny Land Trust

Allegheny Land Trust is a Pittsburgh-area nonprofit that protects green space across 43 municipalities in Allegheny and Washington Counties, safeguarding more than 4,134 acres through conservation easements and acquisitions. It centers its work on four activities: land conservation, land stewardship, community conservation in urban neighborhoods, and environmental education. The organization aims to counter the roughly 2,000 acres of green space the region loses to development each year, supporting climate resilience, clean water, and public recreational access.
