American Rivers

American Rivers is a national river conservation organization working to make every U.S. river clean and healthy for people and wildlife. Its work centers on protecting free-flowing rivers (with a goal of 1 million protected miles by 2030), removing outdated dams to restore habitat connectivity, and securing clean water for communities, alongside public engagement and advocacy for river protection.
