Amigos de Iracambi is the U.S. 501(c)(3) (based in McLean, VA) supporting Iracambi's rainforest conservation and research center in the Serra do Brigadeiro mountains of Minas Gerais, Brazil, a top biodiversity hotspot in the Atlantic Forest. The organization funds reforestation with native species, medicinal plant research, forest monitoring, and community environmental education, and has planted over 150,000 native trees while hosting thousands of students, researchers, and volunteers from more than 70 countries.
