The Andover Village Improvement Society (AVIS) is a private land trust in Andover, Massachusetts, founded in 1894 and the second-oldest land preservation society in the U.S. It manages more than 30 reservations totaling over 1,200 acres in Andover, maintaining roughly 30 miles of trails for hiking and other passive recreation, run largely by volunteers who handle stewardship and trail maintenance.
