Antelope Valley Conservancy

Antelope Valley Conservancy is a volunteer-managed land trust preserving habitat lands and fulfilling permit-related mitigation across the Antelope-Fremont Valleys Watershed in the western Mojave Desert (Kern, Los Angeles, and San Bernardino Counties). Founded in 2005 and authorized since 2009 by the California Department of Fish and Wildlife to hold mitigation lands and endowments, it manages preserves such as Big Rock 1, providing habitat for desert tortoises, kit foxes, and burrowing owls.
