Appalachian Conservation Institute Llc
Appalachian Conservation Institute is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded in 2023 by the Pace family to protect nearly 11,000 acres in Tennessee's Little Sequatchie Cove near Chattanooga, an area encompassing pine-oak savannas, cave karst systems, mountain bogs, and cove forests. Led by Executive Director Rick Huffines, it focuses on bird research and monitoring, land restoration, and scientific education for aspiring conservationists.
