Bay Islands Conservation Association (BICA) is a grassroots nonprofit founded in 1990 to conserve the coastal marine resources of Honduras's Bay Islands in a participatory, transparent, and sustainable way, operating through chapters on Utila, Roatan, and Guanaja plus a Tampa, FL affiliate that facilitates U.S. donations. It works across research and monitoring, environmental education, community development, and habitat protection, co-managing marine protected areas, running a water quality lab, and leading coral reef restoration and fisheries initiatives.
