Bay Nature Institute

Bay Nature is an independent nonprofit media organization based in Berkeley, California that connects people with nature in the San Francisco Bay Area through journalism and community programming. It publishes a quarterly print and digital magazine of fact-checked, deeply reported stories on regional wildlife, conservation, and the outdoors, and hosts naturalist-led hikes, talks, and events; founded by Malcolm Margolin and David Loeb, it became an independent 501(c)(3) in 2004.
