Beachside Bungalow Preservation Association Of Far Rockaway

The Beachside Bungalow Preservation Association (BBPA), established in 1984 and incorporated as a 501(c)(3) in 1986, works to preserve and improve the historic bungalow colony between Beach 24th and Beach 27th Streets in Far Rockaway, Queens, NY. Its advocacy helped secure a rezoning that protects the neighborhood's low-scale bungalow housing stock and ocean views, and the district was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2013.
