Beaufort County Open Land Trust
The Open Land Trust is South Carolina's oldest land trust, established in 1971 to safeguard the Lowcountry region. It has protected over 38,000 acres across seven counties through conservation easements and property acquisitions, with a mission to protect and conserve Lowcountry land, natural habitats, and rural communities forever.
