Berlin Land Trust is an all-volunteer nonprofit founded in 1988 that preserves open space -- fields, wetlands, and woodlands -- across Berlin and surrounding towns (including Kensington) in central Connecticut. It has protected over 418 acres in perpetuity across six towns, manages preserves such as the Alice Fern Bruce Preserve on Lamentation Mountain and the NA Moore Stonehouse property, and maintains public hiking trails. The trust also runs educational programs on topics like pollinators, invasive species, and local wildlife.
