Bolivian Amazon Land Trust Alliance

The Bolivian Amazon Land Trust Alliance (BALTA) is a nonprofit working to reduce and prevent deforestation in the Bolivian Amazon by raising awareness of rainforests' importance to global sustainability. It supports sustainable economic alternatives for local and indigenous communities through strategic land purchases, land leasing, and microloans, partnering with the Bolivian organization Comunidad Inti Wara Yassi. It also runs educational tour programs to the Bolivian Amazon.
