Bolsa Chica Land Trust

The Bolsa Chica Land Trust, formed in 1992, describes itself as the leading environmental advocacy nonprofit protecting and preserving the Bolsa Chica Ecological Reserve and its sacred cultural sites in Huntington Beach, California. Its work spans acquiring threatened acreage, restoring mesa habitat (ongoing since 1996), public education (including its Miracles of the Marsh program), and hosting academic research, and it reports mobilizing over 30,000 volunteers and planting more than 100,000 native plants. It also addresses ongoing threats to the reserve such as pollution, invasive species, and climate change.
