BTA/BOLT

BTA/BOLT is a Boxford, Massachusetts land trust dedicated to conserving and protecting environmentally and aesthetically important land and habitat, including fields, forests, wetlands, and trails, to preserve the nature of Boxford. Founded in 1978 as the Boxford Trails Association and renamed BTA/BOLT in 1998, the all-volunteer organization now protects more than 1,500 acres and maintains the town's trail system for passive recreation. It became Land Trust Alliance accredited in 2005, among the first 39 land trusts nationally.
