Carbon Institute

The Carbon Institute is a San Diego-based independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit, founded in 2006 as the Tropical Forest Group and renamed in 2019, that trains leaders worldwide to conserve and restore ecosystems through advanced terrestrial carbon accounting certificate programs. It partners with governments, universities, and foundations on nature-based climate solutions, having trained 47 faculty across six countries and 250 experts through initiatives in China, Indonesia, and Central Africa.
